From the looks of it, and I do mean just the looks, Viva Vena! has all the right ingredients for a fashion campaign: an actress (Lizzy Caplan of Mean Girls and Party Down) who has a change of stylish clothes in almost every scenes, the presence of all things vintage and ambient music playing in the back. Despite all those things, you learn very quickly that the whole idea is to parody every fashion video out there (and hipsters). There are several hints throughout the clip though. The narration for one, the record that’s titled OBSCURE RECORD FROM THE 60S, the hilarious backstage passes, and for the observant, the opening sequence with the fake film festival tag is a dead giveaway.
