The Holy Beauty Project – Volume 3 (Video)

What better way to get on that Pope tip than to celebrate the final installment of Rossina Bossino’s The Holy Beauty Project. We received this nice message from the artist:

“CONTRA has kindly supported The Holy Beauty Project over the last couple of years, (HERE and HERE) and I wanted to share with you the third and final installment in the series of videos of the project, which I just published online. It’s been a year after its production and official presentation at a Colonial Church in my hometown, Bogotá, but I decided to share it online now because I’m closing this chapter and moving on to new endeavors.

For this last video I had the opportunity to work with film professionals. I invested way more in the production, the costumes, the locations, etc. There is a major technical, conceptual and visual progression in relation to the first two volumes. I hope you like it, and if you do, I’d really appreciate it if you could post it on the  magazine! Not only it could reach more people, but also, since you posted about the first two, it would be a nice way to show the progression and close the chapter.

The third and final installment in the trilogy of videos from The Holy Beauty Project is finally online, one year after its production and official presentation at Saint Claire’s Church Museum in Bogotá, Colombia, and one month after being showcased at the third annual Video Art & Experimental Film Festival, which took place at the iconic Tribeca Cinemas in New York City.

Anyway, watch the video in HD! (and I recommend use of a good set of headphones!)

Also here is a link to the project’s page where you can see pics of the exhib and the progress of the entire thing. Let me know what you think!”

We think it’s awesome, sad that it came to an end, but happy that this artist has come full circle with her idea that started a few years ago. And we definitely can’t wait to see what she will come up with next!
