Sunday Morning Cures: Timber Timbre – Demon Host

I’ve absolutely lost count of how many times I’ve listened to Timber Timbre this week. The Canadian trio comprised of Taylor Kirk, Simon Trottier and Mika Posen started out independently with the release of two records prior to signing on with a label to release their incredible self-titled album which I HIGHLY recommend everyone to check out. Their sound? Elements of the blues with the bends and vibrato of guitar licks, the subtle acoustic bounce of folk, piano and organs that add a Voodoo-esque vibe with spooky, haunting cinematic melodies that leaves you conjuring the imagery of a Southern Gothic.
