American Two Shot presents ‘Substance’ by Mat Larkin xx Julian Wellisz Artist Curated

Last night the CONTRA crew headed out to the East Side to hang with the cool kids of American Two Shot, the shop/gallery space on Grand St in New York. Bright lights and big tunes kept the good looking crowd alive, while a cute boy poured generous shots of Svedka vodka over ice. As these things go, it’s usually about who you meet and how many free drinks you can knock back, but lets take a minute to focus on the art. ‘Substance’ by artists Mat Larkin and Julian Wellisz featured printed matter, using CMYK color separation screenprinting to capture static moments. This analogue reposting gives physical form to combinations of images that previously only exist in the digital world. Learn more about the method and see more work here.
