Props by Andy Harman
Ohio native Andy Harman makes use of his MFA from Yale, focusing on sculptural pieces that make us laugh and think. Based out of New York for over a decade, Andy has always found himself involved in the art world in some way. Currently represented by The Wall Group, Andy works mostly as a production designer on the fashion side of things.
When he’s not on set of photoshoots, he is working on his ‘objects’. ” The objects” says Andy, “are based on finding the intersection of art, design, architecture, commerce and production. Â I am calling them props.”
We love The Cheeseburger. Andy describes his ‘unlimited edition’ chair as a stool, made up of ‘ingredients’ that are stacked ‘your way like Burger King.’ The Cheeseburger can be found on the Fifth Avenue windows of Bergdorf Goodman, until October 22nd, as part of a display with an Oscar de la Renta gown and a Junya Watanabe jacket.
