M to M of M/M – Your Coffee Table Will Never Be the Same

If you’ve been lucky enough to attend a Givenchy Couture show, then the names Michaël Amzalag and Mathias Augustyniak should sound very familiar to you – even if you can’t necessarily pronounce them. Under their design studio, M/M Paris, the duo have been producing edgy and illustrative invitations for Riccardo Tisci’s label for the past five years, in addition to an impressive portfolio of other works for clients such as Balenciaga, Yohji Yamamoto and Kanye West.

Next month M/M is releasing a glossy retrospective monograph entitled M to M of M/M. The 528-page declaration on design highlights Amzalag’s and Augustyniak’s diverse work from the early 90’s onto today, for influencers such as The Guggenheim Museums, Marc Jacobs, and even Madonna. The book also features several interviews with the duo’s closest collaborators like Björk, Inez & Vinoodh and Pierre Huyghe.

If you can’t wait a week for its release, check out this Sunday’s SUNDAY SESSION at MoMAPS1, where the duo will speak in a conversation hosted by Glenn O’Brien of Interview.
