KENZO Spring/Summer 2013 – Welcome to the Electric Jungle!

“The Spring/Summer 2013 collection represents what «jungle» means to the brand now. We live in between New York and Paris and explored how to combine those urban sensibilities in dressing with the sensory immersion of South Asian jungles where we recently traveled.

Our women’s collection oscillates between extreme volumes in safari jackets and A-line dresses and closely cropped and tailored pants, knits and technical outerwear. Drawstrings, zippers, and snaps enable a range of pieces to transform and take on a different guise for each woman.

The men’s collection abounds with tigers, leopards and crocodiles injected into patterns, fabric textures, beaded detailing and bold decals. We looked into abstracting jungle elements to highlight their playfulness and allure.”
