Deep Cut: Suede – “Sometimes I Feel I’ll Float Away”
The new Suede album, Bloodsports, is a victory by any measure, with even cynics admitting it’s a hell of a comeback release for pioneering British art rock band. Above, we’ve conveniently embedded the whole album for you to stream, but highly recommend the track, “Sometimes I Feel Like I’ll Float Away,” wherein Brett Anderson’s plaintive vocals glide along the verse’s minor chords before erupting into a stratospheric chorus that stands triumphantly alongside Suede’s very best. Absolutely stunning.
